Florida Residence Living Room
This Florida Residence Living Room was designed and furnished by GailGray Home. To take advantage of the natural light and coastal atmosphere, the space uses neutral colors. The deep-toned hardwood floors act as a blank canvas that allows the other elements of the room to pop. The neutral tones include the furniture – specifically the identical armchairs and the sofa. These items are placed perfectly – next to the large windows letting in vast amounts of light. The space is also lit with different types of light fixtures such as mounted lights, standing lamps, and a chandelier.
The bolder pieces of the room include the glass coffee table with a black frame and legs. This coffee table is the perfect centerpiece of the room as it stands out well with the neutral palette of the furniture. The placement of the pieces work to create a flow to the space. For example, the black, glass coffee table, the black outline of the fireplace, the wall-mounted television. It all allows your eye to wander throughout the space.
The coffered ceilings only being in part of the area act as a kind of separator to the room and makes the living room feel like its own space, regardless of the open concept. To accessorize the space, the patterned pillows, the vases and such on the fireplace allow the space to feel more homey and personal.
